SEND

At the Pavilion Day Nursery, we believe that every child is unique, capable, and deserving of the very best start in life. We are committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children can learn, grow, and thrive together.

We warmly welcome children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and work closely with families to ensure each child receives the support they need to reach their full potential. Our experienced team takes time to understand each child’s individual strengths, interests, and needs, providing tailored support through play-based learning and meaningful interactions.

We work in partnership with parents, carers, and external professionals to create personalised learning experiences and achievable next steps. Regular observations, assessments, and open communication help us ensure children feel safe, confident, valued, and included in all aspects of nursery life.

Our SEND provision includes:

  • A caring, inclusive, and supportive environment
  • Individual support tailored to each child’s needs
  • Close partnerships with families and outside professionals
  • Adapted activities and learning opportunities
  • Support for communication, language, social, emotional, and physical development
  • A dedicated SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
  • Regular monitoring and planning to support progress and development

We celebrate diversity and believe that inclusion benefits all children by encouraging kindness, understanding, confidence, and respect for others. Our aim is to ensure that every child has equal opportunities to participate, achieve, and enjoy their early years’ experience in a safe and welcoming environment.
